The Bravos start a 2 game series today against the New York Yankees. Today’s starters are Touki Toussaint for the Braves & Jordan Montgomery for New York. Tomorrow’s Yankee starter will be Masahiro Tanaka. Our starter for Game 2 will more than likely be Kyle Wright.

Both of New York’s pitchers are guys that the Atlanta offense should have no problem putting numbers up on. High scores should be expected the next two games. The challenge will be to keep the ball in the yard when New York is up to bat.

Aaron Judge, to be specific, is the guy Braves pitchers have to tip toe around. Anything over the plate where Judge can extend his hands will be relegated to the empty seats of Yankee Stadium, never to be seen again.

OVERVIEW

This two-game series is a heat check. We’re about to see just how good we really are, past Fried & what should’ve been Soroka. The ball flies in Yankee Stadium, and with these two offenses, I feel sorry for the pitchers.

The Braves can 100% sweep this series, without a doubt. What I think will happen though, is we’ll end with a series split. Touki’s start will be similar to his last start, maybe even better. It’s Kyle Wright past the 3rd inning that has me hesitant on outright predicting sweep.
