Game four of the four game series with Miami is set for just past noon today. With a win the Braves would avoid slipping closer to the last-place Nationals. With a loss, the Braves would be swept twice in the four series’ of the young 2021 season. A win would also bring Atlanta to within half a game of the third-place Marlins.
Add in the controversial loss to Philadelphia on Sunday, & we got ourselves a 4-game losing streak. Atlanta’s already had a 4-game losing streak once this season, after which, they responded with four straight wins. So here’s to hoping that repeats itself & more.
The baseball world is paying full attention to what Ronald Acuña Jr has been doing lately, and rightfully so. His MLB ranks are as follows: Batting Average-3rd (.447), Homeruns-1st (6), RBI-5th (12), Hits-1st (21), & Stolen Bases-3rd (3).
Translation: Acuña is the best baseball player on the planet right now, and it’s not debatable.
A 4-game series sweep at the hands of the Marlins would be a franchise first. The Marlins have never swept the Braves in a 4-game series.
Let’s NOT make history today, Braves.
